SCH4 Campout Weekend, Aug 1-3, 2008

This year’s hash campout weekend will be at Morgans Riverside Canoe and Campground aka "Camp Morningwood" at Ft. Ancient State Park near Morrow, Ohio.
It’s located just off I-71 at Exit 32 (35 miles NE of Sin City and 45 miles SE of Dayton).

This will be a fantastic weekend for hashing and camping, including a Saturday afternoon 5-mile Canoe Hash, and did we mention beer?

CAMPSITE: Riverside camping area along the Little Miami River. You have the option of pitching a tent in the woods, sleeping in your car or truck, or staying at one of the nearby motels. The facilities at the campsite include bathrooms, showers w/hot and cold water, and campfire rings for nekkid fire jumping. Alcohol is permitted at the campsite. But if you want something other than beer (Jell-O shots, Jagermeister, Yucca, etc.) it’s BYO. Nearby there are plenty of hiking trails, the Little Miami River for swimming, canoeing & tubing, a bike trail and lots of Indian mounds.

Make your reservations with a non-refundable payment to SinCity Hash House Harriers. No reservations are required for non-campers, but please notify us if you are planning to do one or more hashes so there are no unexpected beer shortages/shrinkages, we hate when that happens!

WHAT TO BRING: BRING YOUR OWN EVERYTHING! Tent, sleeping bag, camping equipment, cooler/ice, FOOD, extra shoes & clothes, drinking water, ivy block, whistle, camp chairs, Wile E, The Crutch, KY Jelly, appropriate drinking vessel, thong, sarong, flashlight, camera, bug spray, bungee cords for canoeing and all of those items that you forgot last year along with anything to make the weekend more fun and enjoyable!

FOOD: Bring your own food. You can grill at the campsite (grills provided) or drive several miles to fast food. There is also a grocery store approx. 6 miles away. For $5, we’ll provide Saturday night dinner of brats, metts, hot dogs, hamburgers and a couple of other items, but you’re on your own for all other meals. Feel free to bring something to share for Saturday such as a vegetable, salad, dessert, etc.

WHAT TO LEAVE HOME: Dogs, fireworks, drugs, bad attitudes, hair spray, etc.

EXTRA ITEMS THE HASH COULD USE: Grills, firewood, extra chairs, tiki torches, tables and boom box with music.
