
PUD Final Checklist
- Set all Items in the Player Menu
- PUD name and author in Description (Map Properties item)
- Player races set and default strategies set (Player Properties item)
- Default resources at least 2000,1000,1000 for all players and all players
are equal (Starting Conditions item)
- Unit characteristics set to default (Unit Properties item)
- Upgrade characteristics set to default (Upgrade Properties item)
- Meaningful initial units set and all players are equal (minimum of one peon)
- Start positions within sight of mine and tree
- Start position order set correctly
- Cosmetic enhancements made to map
- Chop test and area test run if necessary (e.g., island maps)
- All mines and patches checked for proper resource amounts
- All mines and oil patches can have a town hall or ship yard built close to them
- Peons don't get stuck when mining from the default town halls
- All starting position mines are equally vulnerable to direct sea attack or
- All starting positions require the same number of farms to wall-in
blizzard attack.
- Any other obvious flaws or inequalities
- Most critters eliminated
- Check to see that problems mentioned on the Evaluation pages are considered
- Text file updated to contain:
- Correct file name
- Author's name, nickname, and email
- Game setup for fixed order
- Explaination of any specific characteristics or strategies
