NEW POTO BOOK, MORE(03/21/06): Business first: No, I am not sick, lost in the links of the Internet, and so on. I am merely a graduate student in pursuit of a dissertation, so my time is very, very limited. Also, there has been a flooding of fanfiction after the release of the new Phantom movie, but very little new professional material. Hence the fic area is the one being most consistently updated.
Now for the news: There is another new POTO novel available at online publishing house LuLu: Deception, by Shirley Yoshinaka. The link is here: Lulu.com

NEW POTO BOOK (11/30/00): A new attempt at a POTO sequel has been released. Journey of the Mask is the work of a fan, Nancy Pettengill, and is available at Amazon.com.

MILLENNIUM POTO, MILLENNIUM MC (06/10): The Phantom of the Opera Magazine is now selling issues of its special millennium edition. You can learn about the issue and ordering it at the official site, but any Phantom fan is going to want this one. Theater, music, video, and book reviews (many by yours truly), stories about the movie, about the casts, about the history behind this wonderful story--it's all here, in one deluxe edition. If you're a Phantom fan, you WILL want this. (See my full review under the Anthologies section of the site.)

ANTHOLOGY NEEDS WORKS (02/06/00): A new phanfic anthology is seeking works. To submit to SHADOWS OF THE PHANTOM, contact ShadowsofthePhantom@hotmail.com.

PHANTOM SEQUEL SHIPPING (10/14/99): Amazon.com has begun shipping preorders of Frederick Forsyth's The Phantom of Manhattan, the text version. An audiobook is also available. The book is to be released otherwise in November and was written with input from Andrew Lloyd Webber, for a possible sequel to his blockbuster musical.

TAKING SUBMISSION FOR A NEW "MASK" (9/20/99): Kathleen Resch, editor of Mask: Tales from the Underground, is currently taking submissions for the latest volume in her series of Phantom/B&B stories. MEMOIRS OF A PHANTOM (06/29/99): Original Phantom Michael Crawford's autobiography is being released in the UK in September. Preorder A Parcel Arrived Safely Tied With a String at Amazon.com; go to the British server once you follow this link, search for "Michael Crawford," and scroll down. An audiobook version is also to be released.

"PHANTASY" NOVEL READY TO GO (01/23/99): Becky Meodows, author of the phan fic novel Progeny, will be releasing chapters from her latest, Phantasy, on her Website in the upcoming weeks. Watch Becky's pages for the chapters and ordering info.

RHAPSODY II OUT AND A NEW MCKINLEY B&B NOVEL (11/11): Carrie Hernandez is currently taking orders for the sequel to the popular anthology, Rhapsody on Leroux, through Dec. 12, 1998; shipping is in January of 1999. For further info, see the Rhapsody site.
In other news, Robin McKinley, author of the fantasy/children's novel Beauty, has recently released Rose Daughter, another B&B novel.

"NIGHT MAGIC" REPRINTED (10/10): According to Charlotte Vale Allen, author of Night Magic, copies of the book will be available in November at Books Now and via her Website.

AN END TO POTO MAG (9/13): Carrie Hernandez, the editor (and publisher) of Phantom of the Opera Magazine, has announced she will be shutting down the fan magazine after its fifth and final issue, a collector's edition. We will all miss POTO Mag, but congratulations to Carrie for turning out such a wonderful quarterly!
