1. You are required to copy assignments from the assignment board each class
period. Check if all assignments are completed each evening. Practice work
is given to further develop the skills you cover in class.
You should realize that a skill should be practiced until it is well known.
Just finishing an assignment does not guarantee you have learned the skill.
2. Students must APPLY what they learn when they return home. Just as a
medical doctor expects you to carry out his instructions - so it is with your
education. To learn, you must practice at home.
3. During the year you will hear a lot about the relationship between
actions and consequences.
You should understand that your actions have direct consequences; whether they
be positive or negative.
4. It is required that you
ask permission
before leaving the classroom.
If you are permitted, a pass must be used to travel in the halls.
5.
You are not to get out of your seat if the teacher must leave the room. A
student may move around the room only when a teacher is present or during an
emergency.
6. I will expect honesty from each student. If you make a mistake,
admit it and we'll move on. Dishonesty only takes the emphasis off the
issue or behavior and places it upon the student.
7. You should ask for help if you are experiencing any difficulty in a subject
area. Class participation is a large part of the learning process.
Use free time to seek help in classes you have difficulties.
