A  - Excellent                93  - 100

B  - Good                      85  -   92

C  - Average                 74  -   84

D  - Unsatisfactory       66  -   73

F  -  Failing                     0  -   65

 

Grading and Notification Policies  

No credit , a point deduction, or a U  is usually given for an assignment if:

 

  1. No name is on the assignment

  2. No heading or incorrect assignment heading is given

  2. Directions as given were not followed

  3. The assignment is incomplete

  4. Work has been plagiarized

  5. Required signature of parent is not present

  6. Work turned in late:  POINTS ARE DEDUCTED or a U is entered

 

  If test and quiz scores are written in the assignment book:

 

  1. Must be signed by a parent or guardian and then returned

  2. Papers sent home for a parent or guardian signature must be signed and returned

 

Parent notification or disciplinary letters:

 

  1. Must be signed and returned the next day

  2. When letters remain unsigned after two days, disciplinary action may result
