APRON CAKE

I used a petal-shaped pan to make a special birthday cake for my daughter while she was expecting my first grandchild. I was going to be out of town for her birthday and I felt bad about being away on her birthday, so I tried to make up for it. I made this cake, placed it in my freezer and sent her birthday card with a message of where to look for her cake. She thought it was a pleasant surprise.

You could make this cake any PETAL size you like.

1. Bake a 12-inch petal pan cake. Use about 1 1/2 cake mixes. (The cake is one layer).
