PORKY THE PIG

• To assemble cakes; Attach large marshmallows on toothpicks for legs. Use half a marshmallow for the nose.
• To decorate: Holding cake in left hand, pipe tip 16 pink star fill-in on belly, legs and up around sides. Place cake on doily or larger “scenery-decorated” cake and finish piping pink stars. Add ears and tail formed from thick icing. Pipe tip 2 nostrils, mouth and eyes.
• CAKE TIP: Ice a sheet cake brown or Kelly green on top, sprinkle with brown sugar for “dirt.” Pipe flowers with stems on cake sides. Add pig as it is decorated.

Use 2 cakes with flat sides together as shown. Secure with icing and insert a straw through both cakes.
NOTE: A small amount of cake can be cut off so cake will sit level.

Patterns may be cut from construction paper, wafer paper (an edible white “paper”), made of rolled fondant, royal icing, or cookies. If using wafer paper, you will need to color it appropriately. Use non-toxic felt-tip pens, or try the NEW “edible-ink” pens that use food coloring. Reference is given with each cake these patterns
