Racing 6/20/04 - Very light and shifty winds ( 0 to 8 mph, but mostly on the lighter end). The middle of the course usually did not work. The sides of the course/shore sides had the better breeze, but you had to pick the correct side or pay a steep price. As the fleets bunched up, clear air became even more critical. Dave won both races and his margin of victory in race #2 over all boats/all fleets was so large that I think he could have driven home to Dayton, before many of us finished. To quote one skipper commenting on Dave's light performance - "...he has a pack with the devil..."
